Aksakov is confident that the State Duma will adopt the law on CFA in spring

The Chairman of the Financial Market Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation expects the adoption of the law on digital financial assets in the spring session.

Anatoly Aksakov said at a press conference TASS, that he is 99.9% confident that the issue of the bill will be resolved this spring.

The deputy also noted that Russian business needs this regulation, since it will allow companies to use the blockchain in their commercial activities, both within the country and abroad..

The draft law on the CFA passed the first reading in the State Duma back in May 2018, but its further discussion led to disagreements among the working groups on the main provisions of the document. Consideration was postponed last year due to new FATF requirements.
