President dismissed German Klimenko from his post of adviser

Today Vladimir Putin signed a decree dismissing German Klimenko from the post of Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.

The decree was posted on the Kremlin’s website and came into force from the moment of its signing. Recall that Herman Klimenko served as an advisor since December 22, 2015. Previously, he left the post of head of the Institute for Internet Development in order to organize and develop RACIB to create uniform standards for legalizing cryptocurrencies and evaluating ICOs..

The press service of RACIB announced its position on the President’s decision, stating that German Klimenko provided the necessary impetus for discussing the prospects for the development of the cryptocurrency and blockchain market at the highest state level. During the existence of the association, key issues of the industry have been resolved and a legislative framework has been developed. At the moment, Herman Klimenko continues to hold the post of chairman of the supervisory board of RACIB, but on June 25 a regular meeting will be held, at which the management structure may change.

It is not known if his views on the future regulation of the virtual currency sphere are connected with the decision of the President. Initially, German Sergeevich was rather skeptical about blockchain technology and bitcoin, comparing digital coins with shells, but later he changed his mind and began to promote this direction in Russia.

Recall that Anatoly Aksakov talks about the disappearance of the concept «digital money» in Russia.
